On the Mardi Gras, Celebration and Jubilee, it’s been upgraded to a two-story pool-side venue called the RedFrog Tiki bar with a slightly different menu (see below). This menu is the wine list you’ll find in most of the main dining rooms across the Carnival fleet. If you prefer a cocktail, you can usually use the Atrium Bar Menu.

That’s fine and dandy if you and your friend, spouse, or partner both drink at roughly the same level. Now, I am excited to embark on a new journey as an author, sharing my knowledge and insights with readers who share my fascination for the world of cruising. We found ourselves spending quite a bit of time here on Carnival Celebration. The glass mural from Carnival Victory displayed at this bar fits right in with the décor of the ship. Limelight Lounge is home to shows, dancing, and comedy over the course of the cruise.

Havana Bar — As you might guess, Havana Bar keeps with a Cuban theme. If you want a mojito (or a cup of Cuban coffee), this is the place. During the night there is usually live music and dancing, along with a number of spots to sit and have a cozy, intimate chat with someone you love. This is the go-to place for fancy coffees, including spiked versions, as well as milkshakes and floats. Another excellent show is "Rio Carnival," which occurs at Center Stage in the Grand Central zone instead of the main theater.

Cabanas are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Prices vary by sailing, but on my voyage, they were $500 per day from 8 a.m. Pool lifts accommodating up to 300 pounds are available for passengers with limited mobility. Unique to Carnival Jubilee are two new bars in the Deck 6 Currents zone. As a sucker for soft-serve ice cream, I was a frequent visitor to the three soft-serve ice cream and frozen yogurt machines on decks 8, 16 and 17.

I love that the drinks menus here are attached to the daybeds – so that you can easily see which cocktails, sangrias, wines and beers you can order without leaving your seat. It's so common for JavaBlue to be backed up throughout the day that an easy-to-miss sign directs passengers to other locations where they can grab a cup of coffee. Meanwhile, lines at the onboard deli and pizzeria counters frequently snake so far down Deck 8 that they block the entrance to seafood restaurant Rudi's Seagrill. One night, as I was dining at Rudi's with some of my travel companions, we joked that the lines were dangerously close to melding with the line for the nearby guest services desk. By purchasing the beverage package, I knew what I’d walk off the ship owing, barring extra purchases like shore excursions, spa treatments and the like. I’ve been on some cruises where I’ve looked at my onboard account statement and thought, “Jeez, I should have bought the drink package.” This wouldn’t be that cruise.

For cruisers looking for a drink while on the outdoor promenade on Deck 8, there is the Watering Hole. This bar serves a small specialty menu including the watermelon crush and planters punch, along with signature Carnival and ParchedPig brews. Located on the starboard side of Deck 8 is the Havana Bar. This venue is open to all cruisers, and it is one of the liveliest bars on the ship. During the day, you might find dance classes or karaoke sessions.

If you are a fan of piano lounges, you will want to stop in and request your favorite songs. And, why not grab a drink, like the Showstopper or B Sharp, to go along with the tunes. The Watering Hole Bar is located in the Summer Landing Zone on Carnival's Excel-class ships and offers beautiful views. The Red Frog Tiki Bar is a supersized version of the Red Frog Rum Bar that’s on most other Carnival ships. This super-sized, two-story Caribbean themed bar is at the heart of the Lido Pool area and is always full of energy.

The RedFrog Pub is the Caribbean-themed indoor bar that’s located on the lower level of many Carnival ships. It’s different than the RedFrog Rum Bar which is found in the Lido Pool Deck Area. You can find it on the Breeze, Freedom, Legend, Magic, Miracle, Pride, Radiance, Splendor, Spirit, Sunshine, Sunrise, and Valor.
From the Hula Girl, to the Rum Jumper, to the Zombie, there are plenty of fun drinks to sample. This multi-use space is home to a variety of activities day and night from trivia, to family comedy shows, and karaoke. There is also a small bar located here, serving the standard drink menu. In the heart of the Gateway Zone, there is another new bar, the Latitudes Bar. Complete with a flickering sign, it offers a signature cocktail menu featuring classic drinks from around the world, like an aperol spritz or a Caipirnha. Home to two pianists and a signature cocktail menu, this intimate lounge is adorned in metallic and black finishes.
Every Carnival ship has a piano bar that’s hopping every night. While it might not always be named Piano Bar 88, it will have a similar drink menu to the one below. It’s available exclusively on Carnival Jubilee in the Currents zone.
If you’re a beer fan, I highly recommend the Brewery Tour for $30 a person. You can read more about the Carnival Pig & Anchor Brewery Tour here. In addition, when you get your receipt you’ll also see a line for an additional tip.
